WHY?: PROCEEDS FROM ST. JOSEPH PARISH VOLUNTEER SHIFTS WILL BENEFIT OUR PARISH AND THE TUITION ASSISTANCE FUND. ALL VOLUNTEERS WILL RECEIVE FREE ADMISSION ON THE DAY OF THEIR SHIFT, PUBLIC PARKING IS FREE, AND CHILDREN UNDER 12 RECEIVE FREE ADMISSION. The 14th Annual Cleveland Oktoberfest is first and foremost a great family event. Cleveland Oktoberfest 2018 will be held at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Middleburg Heights on Labor Day weekend. Public parking is free and children under the age of 12 receive free admission.

There is a wide range of events for adults of all ages and a host of activities for children. For adults, there is a Tribute Concert Series, Traditional Musik Tent, Beer Garten Musick, Hacker-Pschorr Dance Tent, Art Market and Craft Market, 5 K Run, and Midway Roving Entertainment just to name a few. When it comes to food, Cleveland Oktoberfest has something for everyone including ethnic cuisine and Oktoberfest’s own food concessions.

Entertainment for visitors of all ages including children is the performances by the Frisch Marionette Company whose production is designed, handcrafted, created and recorded in their own workshops. Children will also enjoy the Gingerbread House Building, Inflatables, Sand Castle Building, Kinderland, and Wiener Dog Races. Festival food staples for children include pizza, French fries, corn dogs, gyros, frozen custard and funnel cakes.

Members of our Parish, their families, neighbors and friends are invited to volunteer at this year’s festival on August 31 and September 1, 2, and 3, All volunteers will enjoy free admission to the event on the day of their scheduled shifts. Please come and enjoy this year’s festival while supporting our Parish and School.

In order to sell beer tickets and to serve beer, volunteers must be 21 years of age or older.
