Kiwanis Semi-Annual Pancake Breakfast
Description:
 Tasks will be serving coffee, serving extra pancakes, bussing and resetting tables, etc.

            7:30am - 10:30am
            9:00am - 12:00pm

Parish Monthly Dinner/Breakfast
Description:
 Assisting at the monthy dinners or breakfasts by cleaning tables, replacing table settings, cleaning dishes, helping elderly guests carry trays, etc.

Age: 6th grade and older
Dates/Times: Saturday from 5:00 - 8:15
            Sunday from 8:00 - 11:00
            Sunday from 11:30 - 3:00

Young Neighbors in Action 2019
Description:
 A week-long service trip to New York where you connect with other teens from around the country.

Age: 9th through 12th grade (2018-2019)

Just 5 Days 2019
Description:
 A 5-day service trip to Michigan where you connect with other jr. high students from around the country.

Lenten Fish Fry
Description:
 Assisting at the parish fish fry by cleaning tables, replacing table settings, helping elderly guests carry trays, etc. (Anyone younger than high school age needs a parent volunteering with him/her.)

Age: 6th grade and older
Dates/Times: March 8, 15, 22, & 29 and April 5 & 12 from 3:30 - 8:00

Elderly/Homebound Parishioner Assistance
Description:
 We have a number of parishioners that are unable to complete certain tasks, such as raking leaves or mowing grass. As these needs arise, we are always looking for people to help those of our community that need it. You would be very welcome to help just once or be added as a regular contact for when these needs do come up.

Age: 6th grade and older (younger students would need parental supervision)
Dates/Times: Times vary depending on the need.

Lenten Bag Stuffing
Description:
 Stuffing the bags that will be used for Lent.

Location: St. Joseph Social Hall
Age: 6th grade and older
Dates/Times: Sunday, 2/24 from 3:30pm - 4:30 pm

4th Friday Meal at St. Elizabeth Center
Description: Serving a meal, cafeteria-style, to the men residing at the St. Elizabeth Center. There will be a carpool from St. Joseph Parish that also transfers the meal from St. Joseph to the center.

Location: Drop off and pick up at St. Joseph Church (unless going directly to the center with a parent)
Age: 7th grade and older
Dates/Times: Every 4th Friday from 3:30-6:30

Mass Hospitality/Ushering
Description: Hospitality involves assisting parishioners, especially the elderly, before mass (opening doors, carrying umbrellas if needed, etc.), and distributing baskets during the offetory at Mass. Adult ushers would be present to guide the youth. You would be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to mass.

Age: 6th grade and older
Dates/Times: Any Saturday or Sunday before the 4:30pm (Sat.), 8:30am, 11:00am, and 5:00pm masses

Mass Lector/Cantor
Description: This position involves doing either a reading (lector) or singing (cantor) at mass. This is for those who are interested in sharing gifts of speaking or song to the parish and would like to help take a leadership role in worship. You would be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to mass.

Dates/Times: Any Saturday or Sunday before the 4:30pm (Sat.), 8:30am, 11:00am, and 5:00pm masses

St. Malachi Back Door Ministry
Description: The Back Door Ministry provides food to anyone that comes to the window between 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM daily 365 days a year (On Sundays or Holidays the window closes at 1:00 PM). Food donations are also always accepted and appreciated.

Age: No age limit, but must be able to work in a kitchen (with adult supervision).
Dates/Times: Volunteers are needed for morning (8:20 – 12:00) or afternoon shift (12:00 – 3:15)  365 days a year. Two volunteers work each shift.
